Hey guys, would it be okay if my pastor joined this clan to do daily sunday services? Like maybe he could give u something to read in the Bible or something like that. He said that he would like to join.

I do not have a problem with him joining. However, I think he needs to understand that many of us are from various denominations. My concern (I am not implying your pastor is someone of this nature) would be that he would possibly try to convert those who are not of his denomination/belief set to his denomination or belief set. I guess what im wondering is simply will he be faciliating theological discussions or just posting a passage of scripture and saying hey what do you think about this.

Anyways that is just my quesitons. I dont see why he cannot join. Unless dot has an issue, or feels like its not a good idea.

My pastor is the coolest. He's not judgmental and he lets people choose if they want to convert to Christianity. He will pretty much be giving u guys passages to read in the Bible. But seeing that u don't have a problem with him joining I will allow him to join. He also does not have Live and we should make a forum for him to do his Sunday service. Cool

I think that is awesome that a Pastor who is already busy with his own congregation to take time of his day and give us a Word. Praises be to God! On that one… But we all have a Word in us……

well by nature I would never have thought myself a member of a southern babtist either, I mean it's just not how I was raised. My mother was raised sbc but from her point of view of sbc that mean't go out drinking saturday night and get saved sunday every week, due to her alchoholic, abusive fathers tendencies. But ya know the biggest difference in sbc compaired to most non-denominational churchs is the use of hymnals. And going is how I've changed so much I mean when I was first invited I thought eh I'll go cause girls invited me, cause at the time I was just burned out on church and my faith and everything, but I mean it changed everything and still is I'm learning things everytime I go and it's given me everything.
The first time I attended sunday whorship I was like okay, I have no clue how to read this hymnal thing though, but now I got the hang of it and my youth pastor and I will be doing praise and worship songs soon with guitar.
Thats the only thing I notice about sbc in a big way is the music rivalry I mean I dislike singing hymnals cause it's just not how I sing, going so slow throws me off but I still do it and it's not that bad. But so many people make it into a big deal they either don't want to change from the oldways and think it's an outrage to have modern worship or there's the group that doesn't want hymnals, and there are churchs splitting over this I mean really when did we forget it's supposed to be praise to god not about us and what we prefer. I just want cohabition between music preference.

Brotha! I like you Amen! Amen! We must get out of this mind state that you can only come one way. And I mean that we can not keep God in a box we realize we are to reach the unsaved through any means, and if one of those means is music then so be it no matter the type, just as long as it is Prasing and uplifting the name of the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit. God Bless!

My pastor is not southern baptist. And if he was, I don't think it would have mattered any ways. As long as he praises the Lord Almighty.

What he said lol. I really don't care about the denomination like I said before. Unless it's like catholic with extra books so we wouldn't really be on the same page. Or mormon who claim to be christian, but hold their book of mormon fabricated by joseph smith higher then the actual bible. But for most churchs the only differences are music preference or which translation to use as the base preference so I don't care.
