Chrsitian Movies

Can anyone recommend some good, modern, christian movies? We do a movie night at our chruch and are running out of idead for decent movies. Please let me know asap if you could.

the only two I can think of off the top of my head... I'll try to find some more

flywheel (filmed by the same church that filmed the two vulture recomended)
but i have to say the movie's pace is kind of slow

The Chronicles of Narnia have really good christian themes

If your church likes apocalypse type moives there is:

The left behind series
The Apocalypse series

You can always go to a Christian book store and look at the moive selection they offer. Some of the stores down here have really good selections. So you could possibly get ideas from there

Yeah, as Nichols said the Chronicles of Narnia is good but the books are FAR better than the movie. As always, hollywood ruined most of it. But I do reccomend the books for just reading yourself.

we did Flywheel and Facing Giants..I'll have to check out Fireproof..we try to play more mainstream movies with a christian message instead of movies with bible stories and things like that cause it is used as a community outreach and they tend to scare people off cause they think they are boring...keep the suggestions coming if you can...i appreciate it

Fireproof is with Kirk Cameron and is about a man and woman struggling with marriage. Kirk's character has issues with pornography and it impacts his marriage. So he uses a special program to regain control of his marriage and his wife.

It's really good, though if you are showing it to youth, they might not be into it. It's geared towards married folks.
