Bad News....

We had a bad storm come through last Sunday and lightening hit us. I lost my internet connection for a few days. It fried my hub and the NIC on my pc, but the worst part.... it fried my xbox too. It works great, just won't connect to the net. So, if it isn't covered under warranty, I don't think you'll be seeing me on xbox live for awhile. I don't have the money to fix it or get a new one. :(

So I was going to go rent MW1 today to get a little practice in before MW2 launches. There are only two stores in my area that rent games at all, and one of them requires an active credit card to be on file, which I don't have. The other store turned out to only have 1 copy for rent and it was already nine days overdue, so I imagine the guy plans to keep it until MW2 releases. I don't have anyone to borrow it from and I'm not going to buy it this close to MW2 so I guess no practice for me :(

A guy named koula60 somehow got a copy of Mw2 and has been streaming live vids of him playing Mw2, it pretty much shows
singleplayer, spec-ops, maps, weapons, perks, gametypes, etc. Activision stopped it from being played on youtube due to copyrighting issues, but it's still being streamed on other websites, don't watch it if you don't want the experience to be somewhat ruined. What shocked me was the single player, it's going to be controversial to say the least.
