I was looking around on other sites and it got me thinking, do really people donate anything to these other clan and gaming sites..I would trust the main guys in this clan but who would in their right mind would give their money to some 16 year old kid they don't know (no offense to you young guys). It would actually be a really cool thing to do to be able to have prizes for tournaments and stuff but i really don't think it would work. I'm not really suggesting it, but wanted to know if anyone thinks people ever actually donate.

well i think they do...but only the hardcore people on the clan..and i was thinking about our next tourney 2 on 2..giving our prizes..like points..or something like that...

Yea i have always thought giving out points cards would be cool its just the funding for it..i thought about a sign-up fee but a) you'll prob lose participants and b) some people might consider it gambling and won't be real happy...i don't know i may be wrong

not to mention the fact most everyone under the age 18 probably doesnt have a credit card

yea debit cards work...that thing is all i ever use...it's kinda bad though casue i never carry cash and it gets me into trouble sometimes

a debit card is like a credit card liked to your bank acount right so you can use it online and stuff but it draws from your bank checking acount ergo not having harsh charges and fees?

Over at HCG people donate, but not as often as you might think. One thing is that there are 100 x's the member there than there are here. You guys are a small group, which could actually be in your favor.
Getting people to donate over there is almost like pulling teeth. We are currently having a raffle to win a PS3. The tickets to enter are only $5 and yet we only have like 25 +\- people that have bought any. That's out of 1,416 members.
If you guys were to get on the same page and donate just 5 or 10 bux... that would be enough to get started and get a nice little prize out to the winner of your tourny. We use paypal for donations. Whatever you use, you need to trust the person in charge of the money. Trust that they'll save the money that isn't spent on prizes. I'm not sure what ya'll pay to keep this place running, but that could come out of it as well.
Don't forget your tithing either guys. If you get some spiritual growth out of this place(think bible studies, etc.) then you might pray about giving part or all of your tithe here.
I tithe to HCG on a monthly basis.
